Let’s Feed Our Neighbors, Together

2026 is a critical time for Connected Chef’s work. Food insecurity is rampant across Queens and New York City and costs for groceries are increasing while federal food programs are slashed. We need your help to keep building solidarity-based food programs designed by and for our neighbors that:

  • Provides fresh produce over highly processed foods

  • Requires no bureaucratic hurdles or eligibility tests

  • Offer direct delivery, vital for busy single mothers and to keep immigrant neighbors safe

“Having Lifeline Groceries delivered right to my door saves me so much time, and it’s helped me feed my family fresh, local food that makes everyone feel loved. Shopping at the sliding-scale farm stand makes me feel good knowing I’m supporting local farmers and giving back to my community.”

Our Impact & Vision

In just a few years, Connected Chef has distributed over 5 million pounds of food across Queens, while investing in BIPOC-led farms and centering dignity, choice, and care.

In the past year alone, we:

  • Welcomed 80 new families off our waitlist

  • Invested $100,000+ in BIPOC-owned farms

  • Launched a community garden and food education forum for 50 families in Corona

  • Supported student and parent-led distributions reaching 120 families per event in Jackson Heights

With your support, we can:

  • Distribute 40% more Lifeline Grocery boxes, reaching 23,660 annually by 2026

  • Serve 94,640 people each year through our food access programs

  • Increase investment in BIPOC-owned farms to $448K

  • Expand Family Farm Lab programs to two Queens schools

  • Activate our Woodside Community Food Hub with monthly events for learning, gathering, and advocacy
